New Day Camp Volunteers

Join our transformative summer camp program for children and families affected by incarceration. Help create healing experiences, provide mentorship, and offer hope for breaking generational cycles.

  • Camp counselors and activity leaders

  • Family support and counseling assistants
  • Kitchen helpers and meal coordinators
  • Transportation and logistics support

Time Commitment

Summer camp season (June-August): Full week commitments or daily sessions. Training provided in May.

Exodus House Support

Support individuals transitioning from incarceration to independent community life through our comprehensive housing and support services program.

  • Life skills workshops and mentoring
  • Job search assistance and interview preparation
  • Financial literacy and budgeting education
  • Transportation for appointments and interviews
  • Maintenance and facility upkeep support

Time Commitment

Flexible scheduling: 2-4 hours weekly or monthly commitments. Ongoing year-round opportunities.

Redemption Missions

Serve as mentors and guides in our flagship reentry program, providing spiritual guidance, practical support, and community integration assistance.

  • One-on-one mentorship and spiritual guidance

Time Commitment

Varies by role: 1-3 hours weekly for mentoring, flexible scheduling for events and special projects.

Basic Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old (16+ with parental consent for certain roles)
  • Complete volunteer application and background check
  • Attend mandatory orientation and program-specific training
  • Demonstrate commitment to CJAMM’s mission and values
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

Complete our volunteer application form and submit it along with three references. Applications are reviewed within one week of submission.

Complete a background check and attend a personal interview with our volunteer coordinator to discuss your interests and availability.

Attend our comprehensive volunteer orientation and any program-specific training sessions to prepare you for your role.
